Bulls welcome back Freeman, ex Honved

Matt Freeman

Franklin Bulls (NBL) signed 28-year-old New Zealander 207cm forward Matt Freeman (college: UCSB) for the upcoming season. He is returning to Bulls, where he previously played in 2023 . Freeman last played at Honved in the Hungarian A Division, averaging 10.3ppg, 5.5rpg, and 1.8apg in 26 games last season.
Thanks to pro basketball, he has experienced life on three different continents. He is familiar with European, Australian, and North American leagues. Freeman has played professionally in Germany (Gladiators, Eisbaeren Bremerhaven, and Lions) and Romania (Craiova).
In 2023, his team reached the New Zealand NBL Semifinals.
He graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara in 2020 and it will be his sixth season in pro basketball. Freeman played also for The University of Oklahoma for 3 years.
